The Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire |
Latest from PGM
13th August 2020
Following on from the recent communication from
the G. M. M., regarding no meetings for the remainder of this
year, and from today’s Zoom meeting of Grand Committee, which covered
various topics in general both at home and abroad, the following points
were clarified.
Question was asked "that some
Masonic Lodges are used by the local community for various activities
can this still happen"?
Answer, no this cannot happen at this time.
GL are still awaiting response from
the Scottish Government relating to specific details on Masonic Lodges.
Masonic Clubs come under the
licensing board rules if they decide to open advice and guidance from
the Scottish Government must be adhered to.
GMM has acknowledged that there is
the anomaly that Masonic Clubs can open but the Lodge cannot open for
meetings and this includes Committee Meetings. If a Committee Meeting is
deemed necessary it has been suggested that the use of Zoom be
considered by the Lodge.
