PGM Retiral Event

A Social Evening has been arranged to recognise the service given to the Province by the RWPGM Bro Andrew A McKinnon who will shortly demit Office after 5 years of commitment and selfless effort as Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master of our Province.

During his commission as RWPGM Bro Andrew has served the Province in an excellent manner, attended the Annual Visitation of nearly every Lodge in the Province, either attended or arranged for PGL to be in attendance at all Lodge Installations, presided over the Provincial Grand Lodge AGM and three Regular Communications per year each year.

He has also attended the Communications and AGM of Grand Lodge as well as numerous other meetings held within Grand Lodge together with meetings of Sister Provinces such as the AGM or Regular Communications on behalf of the Province.

He has led deputations of PGL members into various Lodges to confer Degrees and also headed a deputation of Reigning Sister Provincial Grand Masters during a Degree in Bannockburn to mark the 700th Anniversary of the famous Battle. The same Anniversary was celebrated by him presiding over the Grand Ball held in Stirling County Rugby Club in 2014. He leaves the funds for the celebration of the forthcoming 275th Anniversary of the Province in a healthy position.

Bro. Andrew has over the five years attended the various charity fund-raising events organised by the Province such as dances, Charity Golf, Charity Bowls, Charity Fishing, Charity Cycling, etc. and presented significant sums of money from those events to various Charities.

He has also been honoured by receiving Honorary Membership of a number of Lodges within the Province during his term.

All of this on top of his commitments to his own Mother Lodge and to the various unofficial visits he made to Lodges in a private capacity outwith his role as RWPGM.

The evening has been organised to take place at 7.00pm on Saturday 23rd May 2015 within Lodge Zetland No 391.

There will be entertainment and food on the evening and the tickets priced £5.00 are available from Bro Alistair Marshall, Bro Gordon Sewell and Bro Tom White.
