2013 Charity Fishing Competition

The Annual Provincial Grand Lodge Charity Fishing Competition was staged on Carron Valley Reservoir on Saturday 01 June 2013.

It was a sunny day to start with then turned cloudy and cold with showers of rain. This did not deter the many anglers from various Lodges who supported the event.

The premier prize for the heaviest individual catch of three fish went to Brother Robert Paton from Lodge Carron No 139 (7lbs 2oz). The heaviest individual fish was also caught by him (Just over 5lbs).

The team prize went to Brother John Davidson and Brother Gerrard Dawson from Lodge Bannockburn Bruce and Thistle No 312.

Special thanks are due to Brother Gordon Sewell and Brother Alex Crocket from Provincial Grand Lodge for organising the event and to Brother James Coyne and friends for providing the venue, food and facilities.

Mrs Leigh Mason very kindly donated a trophy in memory of her late husband Robert to be awarded to the angler catching the heaviest individual fish.

The pictures below show the prize winners and some of the anglers taking part.
