2014 Fishing Competition

On Saturday 7th June 2014 thirty anglers from the Province descended on Buckieburn Reservoir, Denny for the Provincial Grand Lodge Annual Charity Fishing Competition 2014.

The winners of the team event were Bro Ferg Smith and Bro Harry Foster from Lodge Camelon No 1456. The runners-up were Bro Robert Hunter and Bro Gordon Sewell from Provincial Grand Lodge.

The trophy for the heaviest fish was presented to Bro Gordon Berry from Lodge Ancient Stirling No 30.

A big thank you to all the anglers who took part and to all Lodges for their donations and sponsorship. An especial thank you to Bro Jimmy Coyne PM, Carron Valley Reservoir Custodians Group and to Mrs Coyne who supplied the tea/coffee and sandwiches at lunch time.

Bro Gordon Sewell Substitute Provincial Grand Master  took the lead in organising the event and his dedication is much appreciated.

The recipient Charity 2014 is Driving Force, Health Centre, Bonnybridge. This Organisation, through volunteer drivers, provides transport to hospitals and to day-care at the Hospice for those who require it. Click below for more info.
