2016 Fishing Competition

The annual charity fishing competition, which took place on Saturday 4^th June 2016 on Carron Reservoir, was another very successful day.

For once the weather was kind to the anglers and an excellent days fishing was had by all.

Thanks all the anglers who took part, to Jimmy Coyne and the team on Carron Reservoir and to the members of the Province who have supported this event. A personal thank you, from Bro Gordon Sewell, goes to the Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro Sandy Thomson who came along to present the prizes.

 Winning Team:- Bro John Findlay and Bro Robbie Cochrane, Lodge Polmont No 793, with a combined weight of 14lb 9oz

 Runners up:- Bro Alex Galloway and Bro Allan Stewart, Lodge Craiginnan Dollar No 850, with combined weight of 6lb 8oz (Alex Galloway not in the runners up photo as he had to go to adjudicate a competition on the Lake of Menteith)

Amount raised by the event is around £1300. Details of final amount and presentation to the chosen charity will be posted in  due course.
