PGL Fishing 2021
On Saturday 5th June, 23 anglers from the Province met at The Black
Loch Fishery to take part once again in the charity fishing
competition, which was cancelled last year due to covid-19
restrictions.
It was a dry day, with a southwest wind blowing over the loch, total
fish caught on the day 32, with many getting away. The RWM of Lodge
Clackmannan Bro Robert Hunter landing a pike which was quickly
dispatched back into the water. However there was some success for
some, runners up were Bro's John Currie and Andy Gillespie from
Lodge Polmont 793 with a combined weight of 11lbs 05oz, winners also
from 793 Bro's Connor Wilson and Daniel McLuckie with combined
weight of 11lbs 10oz. Bro Colin Henderson from Lodge Craiginnan 850
had the heaviest fish weighing in at 2lbs 13 1/2oz. Following the
prize giving by the PGM Bro Gordon Sewell. who also had been fishing
today, a very good raffle took place. Thanks at this time are to all
who took part today, donated monies, provided prizes for a fantastic
raffle, PM McKendrick and Bro Smith for their assistance and to
Scott at the Fishery.
It was agreed that the proceeds from today would go to Camphill
Blair Drummond, a residential home for adults with extreme learning
difficulties.
