PGL Fishing 2021

On Saturday 5th June, 23 anglers from the Province met at The Black Loch Fishery to take part once again in the charity fishing competition, which was cancelled last year due to covid-19 restrictions.
It was a dry day, with a southwest wind blowing over the loch, total fish caught on the day 32, with many getting away. The RWM of Lodge Clackmannan Bro Robert Hunter landing a pike which was quickly dispatched back into the water. However there was some success for some, runners up were Bro's John Currie and Andy Gillespie from Lodge Polmont 793 with a combined weight of 11lbs 05oz, winners also from 793 Bro's Connor Wilson and Daniel McLuckie with combined weight of 11lbs 10oz. Bro Colin Henderson from Lodge Craiginnan 850 had the heaviest fish weighing in at 2lbs 13 1/2oz. Following the prize giving by the PGM Bro Gordon Sewell. who also had been fishing today, a very good raffle took place. Thanks at this time are to all who took part today, donated monies, provided prizes for a fantastic raffle, PM McKendrick and Bro Smith for their assistance and to Scott at the Fishery.
It was agreed that the proceeds from today would go to Camphill Blair Drummond, a residential home for adults with extreme learning difficulties.
