Lodge Ancient Stirling No.30 staged a memorial service in memory of the late Brother Alexander (Sandy) Whitehead, Past Master of Lodge Ancient Stirling No 30, Provincial Grand Master of Stirlingshire from 1980 to 1985 and Depute Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland from November 2001 - November 2002 on Sunday 3rd April 2016.
The service was led by Brother Graham Campbell Past Master who also delivered a well researched eulogy on the personal and family life, business and Masonic career of Brother Sandy.
The devotional aspects of the Service were conducted by Brother Reverend John H Jenkinson PM, PSPG Chaplain, PSGM.
A number of distinguished and eminent brethren from Grand Lodge were in attendance including Past Grand Master Brother Sir Archibald D Orr Ewing Bart MA who had appointed Brother Sandy as Depute Grand Master during his commission as Grand Master Mason.
Provincial Grand Lodge and the Sister Lodges were well represented at the service including a number of wives of brethren. The company were delighted to receive a number of senior office-bearers from Sister Provinces.
The readings from scripture were delivered by Brother Alistair T. Marshall RWPGM, Brother Alistair W. Wright IPM (30) and Brother Steven Bryant (Chaplain 30).
