Young Masons Degree at Denny

YOUNG Masons from many Lodges in the Province of Stirlingshire took part in a special degree at Lodge St. Andrew (Denny & Loanhead) on Friday 10th May 2019.  The Emergency Meeting was the initiative of 176’s RWM Bro. Archie Young Mackay and was a first degree ceremony enthusiastically supported and the young masons and their Lodges.

Mr Alistair MacDonald was initiated into Freemasonry by the degree team led by Bro. Mackay, ably supported in the East by Bro. Alan Mark O’Donnelly, RWM of Lodge Strathendrick No. 780.

They were ably assisted by Brothers Calum McArdle, WSW of Callendar No. 588, James Brown, WSW of Slamannan No. 484, John Cochrane, Jeweller of St. John Falkirk No. 16, Bruce Smith, JD of Zetland No. 391, Robbie Cochrane, JD of Polmont No. 793,  Robert Paterson, Junior Steward of Slamannan No. 484,  Colin Chalmers, SM, 588, Jamie Bryce, DoM The Lodge of Alloa No. 69, John Cochrane, Scott Allison, Jeweller of Camelon No. 1456, William Black, Architect Lodge Slamannan No. 484 and Ian McVicar, SD of 176.

It was a first class degree with all the ritual work delivered to a very high standard and clearly much work had gone in to the merging of rituals from the different Lodges.

All of the young masons who participate deserve the highest praise.
