176 visit to Croydon

I have just returned from a visit to the Coulsdon Lodge No. 4547 (E.C.) in the Province of Surrey with Lodge St. Andrew (Denny and Loanhead) No. 176 attending with a large Deputation, headed by their Right Worshipful Master, Brother Archie Young Mackay. They performed a Demonstration Third Degree to the very highest standard ; probably one of the best I've ever seen, to a very appreciative audience of over 160 Brethren which, by English standards, is huge. The Meeting was attended by very senior Brethren from the Province of Surrey, including the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, the Worshipful Assistant Provincial Grand Master and the Worshipful Provincial Grand Secretary, whose appreciation and Lodge hospitality was outstanding, generating these comments from the A.P.G.M, Worshipful Brother Bill Caughie ;-

It was fantastic to spend a few days with you both and the rest of the team. The feedback I’m getting about Friday is so complimentary about the meeting and the Degree work. Comments like ‘the best Masonic meeting I’ve ever attended’ and ‘what a fantastic night’. I’ve already received 2 bookings for 2021 from 2 Sussex Masons who attended.

 

Lodge St. Andrew (Denny & Loanhead) No. 176 can feel truly delighted with themselves after having done 176 and the Province of Stirlingshire, proud.
