176 Twin With 4547

Lodge St. Andrew (Denny & Loanhead) No. 176 has entered into a twinning agreement with a Masonic lodge based in Croydon.

Members of The Coulsdon Lodge No. 4547 have been visiting Denny on regular basis since the early 1990s. In 2003 the 176 Master at the time Bro. James Dyer led a deputation from Denny to work a demonstration degree as the main attraction at a fund raising “Scottish Night”. It was so successful that Lodge St. Andrew has made by-annual trips for similar nights ever since. On Friday 12th November 2021 the long standing friendship between the two lodges was formalised in a twinning arrangement sanctioned by The Grand Lodge of Scotland and the United Grand Lodge of England. A demonstration degree was given by the 176 team headed by RWM Brother James L.R. Wilson and followed by a festival dinner attended by 120 Brethren.

Members of Coulsdon 4547 and St. Andrew No. 176 are pictured in the Croydon Masonic Centre.
