Lodge St. Andrew (Denny & Loanhead) No. 176 has entered into a
twinning agreement with a Masonic lodge based in Croydon.
Members of The Coulsdon Lodge No. 4547 have been visiting Denny on
regular basis since the early 1990s. In 2003 the 176 Master at the time
Bro. James Dyer led a deputation from Denny to work a demonstration
degree as the main attraction at a fund raising “Scottish Night”. It was
so successful that Lodge St. Andrew has made by-annual trips for similar
nights ever since. On Friday 12th November 2021 the long standing
friendship between the two lodges was formalised in a twinning
arrangement sanctioned by The Grand Lodge of Scotland and the United
Grand Lodge of England. A demonstration degree was given by the 176 team
headed by RWM Brother James L.R. Wilson and followed by a festival
dinner attended by 120 Brethren.
