Christmas dinner was delivered over 100 seniors members and widows of
Lodge St. Andrew No. 176 in Denny.
Award winning chef Alistair MacDonald prepared turkey with all the
trimmings and Christmas pudding for the seniors. The meals
were distributed by members and office bearers led by RWM Jim Wilson.
The meal initiative started during the Covid pandemic as a way of
reaching out to the Lodge’s senior members and widows, many of whom live
alone. The Christmas dinners proved particularly welcome so although
coming out of the pandemic the Lodge decided to continue with the
festive meals again.
Pictures show some of the delivery drivers in appropriate Christmas
attire before leaving the Lodge and executive chef Alistair MacDonald
with some of the 110 meals he prepared.
