The Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire |
THREE members of Lodge St. Andrew No. 176
(Denny & Loanhead) have received long service awards.
Past Master James Couper and Bro. James Adams
were each presented with Certificates and medals marking their 60 years
in the Craft.
They both joined the lodge on 13th December
1962 and went through their next two ceremonies together. Ten years ago
they attended together to each receive Jubilee Certificates from The
Grand Lodge of Scotland and have now received Diamond Certificates.
Bro. Couper, who ran a successful foundry
business, was installed as Master of the Lodge in 1975 and lives in
Stoneywood.
Bro. Adams had a successful police career in
the Manchester area where he still lives and was Master of The Duke of
Athol Lodge No. 210 in Denton.
Bro. Joe Toner, the current Almoner of 176,
received a Jubilee certificate to mark his 50 years as a mason and was
also presented with a jewel from the lodge.
RWM Bro. James Wilson made the presentations. He also presented a Distinguished Service certificate on behalf of the Lodge to Treasurer Bro. Martin McMenemy for his devoted service particularly during the pandemic.
