1474 Virtual Charity Night

An update on the Charity whisky tasting night hosted/organised by Brother Andrew Goodwin PM of Lodge Zetland No 391, assisted by Brother John Scott JD 1474. which was held on Saturday 30th April 2021

The night was a massive success for all involved, Brother Stewart McLaren of 1474 donated 2 hand crafted Masonic plaques to be donated for auction which brought in the fine sum of £210. This added to the £100 that Brother Andrew Goodwin donated at the beginning of the evening gave us £310 at the half way stage of proceedings.

The event was a very pleasant evening with four very fine whiskies being sampled. Once the whisky started to kick in then the Brethren and friends started to show true generosity, which was amazing to witness. We had Brethren from The Lodge of Alloa No.69, the RWM assisted by some of his PMs and Brethren. As well as the Brethren from 1474 who more than made up the numbers and we had 1 non Mason in our company also. The final sum of monies raised was £750, which I can’t thank the Brethren and friends enough for.

Our chosen charity for the evening is Breath Easy in memory of Brother Walter Livingstone P M of The Lodge of Alloa No.69 and honorary member of Lodge Ladywell No 1474.
