10^th Anniversary of PGLS Web Site

Brethren, 10+ years ago Brother Jim White, Past Master of Lodge Bannockburn Bruce and Thistle and at that time Provincial Grand Secretary, decided it was time that Provincial Grand Lodge be dragged up into the 21st century and started the development of the web site. He first published the web site on the 24^th April 2002. Jim was webmaster for the first few years of the site and then due to work commitments handed over the running of the site to myself.

We both listened, and still do, to the comments of the Brethren of the Province and the site as it is now stands has been developed by taking note of these comments and I trust will continue to do so. In this vein, if any Brother has any comments, please either advise me at Webmaster or Provincial Grand Secretary at Secretary. Also if any Brother has any article he wishes to be included, that please also forward to myself or Provincial Grand Secretary.

During the 10 years there have been 3 Provincial Grand Masters, Brother David Dick Laing, Brother John McKenzie and the current PGM Brother Andrew A McKinnon, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all 3 for their support to the web site.

There have been a number of notable events that have taken place during these last ten years and these are just a few.

1. Lodge St. John Tulliallan No. 598 – 125th Anniversary April 2002.

2. Lodge Ladywell No. 1474 – 50th Anniversary September 2002.

3. Lodge Loch Lomond No. 1483 – 50th Anniversary May 2003.

4. Provincial Bowling Competition started – August 2004.

5. The Lodge of Alloa No. 69 – 250th Anniversary November 2007.

6. First Annual Divine Service in Denny Parish Church, Denny – March 2008.

7. First Provincial Annual Dance in King Robert Hotel, Bannockburn – April 2008.

8. Lodge Zetland No. 391 – 150th Anniversary February 2009.

9. Lodge Stirling Royal Arch No. 76 – 250th Anniversary May 2009

10. Provincial Fishing Competition started – June 2011.

Brethren the only way the site is kept fresh and interesting is if new articles are added, it doesn't take long to upload the info so keep it coming.
